A golf ball sized meteor blasted over the southeastern United
States on Monday night, creating a bright streak of light and a sonic boom.
The meteor was spotted at 9:18 pm EDT over Alabama. Officials
reported it exploded over Woodstock, Alabama, about 30 miles from Birmingham.
